Pattern knitting muzzle:   four needles dial 88 loops, knit around a circle of 8 centimeters. Begin to reduce 4 loops in each circle. • At the final stage, you need to “brush” our rug a little so that it looks neat. In the process of tying the threads, their length may differ slightly from each other, so the pile should be cut. The principle is as follows: the shorter the nap, the clearer the pattern is visible.

Such a rug is extremely simple to manufacture. You can easily cope with its creation, just need to learn how to tie knots. And then - already a matter of time and patience.

You will need:

1. carpet canvas (or some kind of dense mesh with square cells);
2. any residue of colored yarn;
3. special hook with a foot (if you find such an unreal, you can use the usual knitting, but it is much less convenient
4. Carpet canvas with large cells can be found in many stores for needlework, it is sold for meter footage in rolls a meter wide.

Threads for making handmade carpet are pre-prepared. It is necessary to cut them into segments of equal length. The easiest way to do this is to wind the yarn on a 7-8 cm wide carton, then remove and cut the top and bottom (you can only top or only the bottom, depending on the length of the yarn you need), according to the pompon principle.

Each thread is tied into a knot with a special hook for carpet weaving. These hooks come in different sizes, you need to choose the appropriate thickness of your thread. The hook passes between the squares of the canvas, catches the thread and draws it into a special knot.

It is very important to make a preliminary calculation so that the number of cells in the scheme does not exceed their number on the carpet canvas. It is also necessary to leave a couple of centimeters of canvas along the perimeter for bending the finished handmade carpet.

The edges of the rug can be bent on the seamy side, sheathed with a braid, or, for example, pass the rug to the framing workshop (where they go under the frame). I like to tie a side with an ordinary crochet hook.

In the process of weaving the carpet, the tails of the loops are slightly different in length.

In order to level them, the finished carpet is cut (if desired). For this purpose, there is a special tool, but I use ordinary stationery scissors. The shorter the nap is, the sharper the pattern of the carpet.

It was done in the same way, but the knot was tied already at the stage under the number 4 (if you look at the above scheme). Note that in this case, too, the knot still needs to be tied (without pulling out the ends of the threads finally), otherwise the thread will be broken.

When finalizing this carpet, the loops were not trimmed.
